Our January of 2023, as well as featuring Halifax Mill Auctioneers’ first sale of the year, is also playing host to our first foray into valuation days, across three local church venues, starting with this coming Saturday 7th January, in Hipperholme at Christ Church on Brighouse Road, below is the flyer/poster for the events..
NEWS – 20th December ’22: We’re on TV again this week, featuring on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, this coming Thursday 22nd December.., get your iPlayers or Sky boxes ready to record!
NEWS – 22nd September ’22: Given the Queen’s funeral earlier this week and the relative limbo of the last few weeks, given our national loss, we’ve removed our standard three-weekly date from the diary, that being 25th September, and moved our auction schedule forward, to the three weeks ahead, and Sunday 16th October.
NEWS – 11th September ’22: Outside of the sad news we all had this week of the Queen’s passing, we were at the same time in the aftermath of our last sale on 4th Sep, invoicing, parcelling-up, and reconciling accounts from what was a bumper sale last Sunday. The artefacts and antiquities fared relatively well, with the majority selling to galleries in the South of England, plus there were some great prices achieved for a local family’s coin collection. The next sale date for us is somewhat of a TBC right now given the Queen’s funeral bank holiday and a big event for us on the horizon, for our Sunday 16th October auction.
NEWS – 11th August ’22: So, our 31st July sale was a good one, some surprise sleepers like the Celestial Telescope at £2,700, and a resurgence in the ceramics space with some good Shelley, Worcester and Spode results.. Our next sale is on Sunday 4th September, which takes into account a little August break for the team, although to be fair we’re still taking in goods within the month.. We will be issuing an early release of the 04/09 catalogue by this coming weekend’s close to sit on the Saleroom and Easylive platforms, a modest 100 lots or so, to be added to with the full catalogue, during w/c 22nd August..
Thank you to everyone who has bought and sold with us to date, for everyone’s patience and support, their trust and obviously their custom.
Please stay safe across 2022 and all the very best wishes for a great year!
